Success in the Blue Mountains

Here’s a great video report from Kent Connaughton, Regional Forester (now retired) in the Pacific Northwest Region.  What I like most about his comments is his focus on the three goals and how they are playing out in collaborative behaviors and projects on the ground.  It’s not so much about the term Cohesive Strategy as it is about Resilient Landscapes, Fire Adapted Communities and Safe & Effective Wildland Fire Response – and how we can work together to achieve these goals.

And a big shout out to the folks in Eastern Oregon who are showing us all how collaborative efforts can succeed with a diverse group of stakeholders!
